FED: Iraq threatens to cancel all wheat contracts with Aust
Iraq has threatened to cancel all imports of wheat from Australia in retaliation forthe government's backing of possible US military action against Baghdad.
The Australian reports that Iraq's most senior representative in Australian, Dr SAADAL SAMARAI, has warned against support of US aggression if wheat contracts are to be protected.
Iraq cancelled an order for 500,000 tonnes of Australian wheat two weeks ago.
Dr AL SAMARAI says Iraq has had a good experience with Australian farmers, but Australianpolicy and the military phase of Australian policy is harming the country.
He says Australian ministers have been even more hostile than America in their rhetoric.
